सार
Diarrhoea is worldwide health problem for which a number of drugs are available in Unani and other traditional systems of medicine. However the low patient compliance is a major problem with traditional drugs requiring the optimization of various dosage forms. In the present study an age-old Unani compound powder was converted into effervescent granules to improve its palatability and the kinetics. Further, in order to determine the quality standards of the new dosage form the physicochemical studies were also carried out. The data generated in respect of its physicochemical attributes may be used for future reference.
