सार
The results of an ethnopharmacological survey conducted during 1999 in the Central Tarai Forest Division Haldwani, Nainital of Kumaon region, Uttarakhand are presented in this report. Ethno-medicinal uses of 40 species belonging to 38 genera and 32 families of plants are described. For each plant species are given the botanical and prevalent local names, part(s) used, claimed medicinal use(s) and mode of administration. The study has revealed many interesting and new phytotherapeutic uses. The data presented are first-hand and not reported, thus far.
