Description:
An acute infection of the nail bed. It is accompanied with severe pain, distension, leading to falling off nail and fever. It is caused by predominance of blood and blood mixed with yellow bile. Sometimes it is caused by general weakness of the body, weakness of liver, anaemia and
lymphadenitis. Its possible English equivalent is paronychia/whitlow.
