Berg-e-Sem (Dolichos lablab L.), a Unani drug of repute has been standardized by modern techniques. The pharmacopoeial parameters studied include : physico-chemical, phyto-chemical, HPTLC, microbial load and aflatoxins etc. which reveal that it is safe for medicinal use. The study will serve as standard reference for quality check of the drug investigated.
