The theory and practices of Unani system of medicine are based on logic and philosophy that is why observation and reasoning have been used as important tools for its exposition. Therefore for proper understanding of Unani system of medicine, knowledge of traditional logic and philosophy is a prerequisite. However, in present scientific era Unani fundamentals are also required to be comprehended in the light of contemporary sciences.
